Background 
The B Team is a global collective of business and civil society leaders driving a better way of doing business for people and the planet. The B Team seeks to protect the environment and its resources for a more sustainable future.
Project Goals
To design and develop a highly engaging, immersive hub for The B Team with the primary goal being to inform, secondarily to subscribe and engage. This hub was meant to be separate from their organization's website, and act as a standalone guide for business leaders. This multipage, interactive experience will serve as a destination to learn about the New Leadership Playbook and the program’s core philosophies and participants.
Challenges / Lessons Learned
One of the pitfalls of waterfall style projects is you can plan it out, align timing, costs, and resources, but then ideas will flow and scopes will shift. Some of these new ideas did cause the scope change a few times during this production and change orders were executed. This project saw multiple project managers as priorities/timing shifted in the agency. Some of the engineering for this site was challenging and required bringing in additional support to make it work and as well as a motion graphics artist. There was a request for a podcast site mid-project, this impacted the intended launch date, but we were able to find a comparable solution and include it as it became a high priority request. The client wanted to write their own copy and this impacted scheduling, to further expand on this, the heart of this site was content that came directly from CEO’s, most of which are in Europe and take a long summer holiday. Having these words directly from the CEO's was vital. 
Retrospective
A major takeaway is gathering as full of a picture as possible, taking a much more iterative approach to complex engineering features, and escalating a bit sooner to have an honest discussion regarding timing, scope and expectations. While this project had its challenges, it also had its successes. My team was able to work on a dynamic mobile responsive website, developing rich user journeys, benchmarks, and incredible UX specification documentation; we delivered a custom CMS dashboard for the client to continue building pages after launch, the develop work was incredible.
